What are we fundraising for?
Our team is so excited to be participating in San Diego Humane Society's Walk for Animals! This year the Beta Gamma Sigma San Diego Alumni Chapter is joining thousands of animal lovers and their furry friends to create a more humane San Diego and we need your help.
Please consider supporting our team chapter and the animals by walking with us. In addition to the shirt that San Diego Humane Society will provide you for the walk, all BGS participants will receive a BGS gift complete with a BGS bandana for your dog and a BGS shirt for the human.
Who are we?
We are Beta Gamma Sigma San Diego Alumni Chapter - a community of like minded people striving for success where we:
Meet fellow alums from networking mixers all around San Diego
Learn something new from educational and wellness resources
Give back by volunteering and holding charity events
Engage with the community and support local businesses
Why walk with us?
This year, with your support:
More than 40,000 homeless pets and wildlife in need will be given safe shelter and a second chance.
Thousands of orphaned kittens will receive around-the-clock care through the Kitten and Foster programs.
Humane Law Enforcement officers will respond to nearly 19,000 animals in need.
More than 2 million pet meals will be distributed to families facing challenging times, helping them keep their beloved animals.
When is the walk?
Walk for animals will take place on Saturday, May 04, 2024, starting at 7:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Here is the schedule below:
7:00 Registration, pancake breakfast and entertainment begins
8:20 Official Welcome
8:40 Blessing of the animals
8:45 Warmup
9:00 Walk begins
10:15 Dog activities and Vendor Village continue until 11
