Bandit was rescued from a downtown L.A. kill shelter the day before he was to be euthanized. Due to circumstance, I became his fifth owner and he was meant to be mine. He was a member of my family and had a special relationship with my Dad as he struggled with Dementia. My Dad would take Bandit on long walks while I worked each day and he gave my Dad's life a purpose until he passed away. My Dad claimed that Bandit understood English and they had conversations on their long walks that only they understood. Bandit passed away this past August from heart failure. It comforts me to know that Bandit and my Dad are together again taking longs walks in heaven.
