The Walk for Animals — San Diego is on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at NTC Park in Liberty Station. Festivities begin at 7 a.m. and the Walk starts at 9 a.m.
The course is approximately 2 miles long. There is also a 1/2 mile option for Walkers who prefer a shorter route.
Early bird pricing is in effect until Friday, March 31. Register early to save!
Adults (ages 18+)All registered participants will receive a Walk for Animals T-shirt at the event! Our virtual walkers will be mailed a T-shirt after the event.
Yes! Your registration fee, although it is not tax-deductible, will count toward your overall fundraising total. It also counts toward earning some amazing prizes.
Friendly, on-leash dogs are welcome to come! Hundreds of dogs will be in attendance, so we do not recommend bringing other types of pets.
The Walk for Animals is a family-friendly event and children are welcome to attend and enjoy the event! All participants (including children) must register online or by calling 619-243-3469. Youth participants are also welcome to fundraise for the animals.

Attendance on the day of the Walk is not required. If you cannot attend, you have the option to register online as a Virtual Walker and use the tools in your Participant Center to fundraise. Registered Virtual Walkers will receive a commemorative Walk for Animals T-shirt in the mail after the Walk!
Your Walker Packet will include a donation envelope. Please bring the envelope with all cash and checks you've collected to the Walk.
If you can't attend the Walk or receive cash or checks after the event, please drop off or mail the donations in a clearly marked envelope to:

Team members qualify for fundraising prizes based on their individual fundraising achievements. Team members are encouraged to register and raise money on their own.
Prizes are redeemed individually by email after the event. Once a prize is selected for each fundraising level achieved, each walker will receive their amazing prizes by mail within 3-4 weeks. Don't forget to provide a valid email address when registering for the Walk to be able to claim prizes.
If a team raises money together by holding a team event (such as a bake sale), our Walk staff can apply the proceeds to the team's fundraising total OR proceeds can be split between team members' individual fundraising totals. Please email walk@sdhumane.org or call 619-243-3469 for assistance.
T-shirts will be available on-site to pick up at the Registration tent or mailed to Virtual Walkers after the event. After the Walk, fundraisers will receive an email with a link to choose and claim their prizes. Once a prize is selected for each fundraising level, walkers will receive their well-earned prizes by mail within 3-4 weeks. Reminder: Please provide a valid email address when you register for the Walk in order to claim your prizes!

If you registered on or after April 14 or did not receive your Walker Packet in the mail, you can pick one up at the "Preregistered" side of the Registration tent at the Walk for Animals starting at 7 a.m. If you have any questions, please contact walk@sdhumane.org.
