Our volunteer team is so excited to be participating in San Diego Humane Society's Virtual Walk for Animals!

While we at SDHS love and appreciate the support we get from all community members, we have a special place in our hearts for our volunteers who donate their time, talents and efforts to make sure our animals receive the best care possible.

During the second week of April (April 11-17), we'll be teaming up with our volunteer members to join thousands of animal lovers and their furry friends online to help create a more humane San Diego.

Please consider supporting us and the animals by joining our team or making a donation. No need to be a current volunteer to participate in our team, all are welcome to support! Your gift — no matter the size — will help ensure that we can continue to be there for animals, no matter what else is going on in the world

Together we can create a more humane San Diego. 

This year, nearly 50,000 animals will rely on San Diego Humane Society for help. Our volunteers are a HUGE part in making sure we can make an incredible impact for these animals and the humans who love them. In 2020, 

• More than 3,400 volunteers served in our various campuses and programs, contributing 423,928 hours! 
• In our campuses, volunteers completed 27k dog walks, 15.6k cat visits, 7k dog visits and 850 small pet visits.
• At Project Wildlife, volunteers assisted in the care of over 12.6k animals admitted into care.
• 4,560 animals went to out to foster in 1,442 homes.
• Volunteers helped distribute over 1.3 million pet meals to families in need.
