Frequently Asked Questions

When is the Virtual Walk for Animals?

Registration is open now — and it’s free! Sign up today to unlock personal fundraising tools and start raising support for animals in need. You’ll also have access to Walk Week’s (April 11-17) engaging online content, including behind-the-scenes tours, fundraising contests, social media surprises, pancake making and more!

Traditionally held at Kit Carson Park in Escondido and Liberty Station in San Diego, our annual Walk for Animals is combined into a single virtual event this year. In addition to fundraising and engaging with online content, during Walk Week you are invited to walk in your own way (with safety and social distancing in mind) — around the block, around the living room, in the backyard, on a patio or even on the treadmill.

Is there a registration fee?

Registration is free! Participants who raise or donate at least $50 will receive a custom Virtual Walk for Animals T-shirt. New this year! When you fundraise or donate $50 or more by March 19, you will be able to pick up your custom 2021 Virtual Walk for Animals T-shirt to wear during Walk Week (April 11-17). We will be providing safe and socially distanced shirt pick-up options the week before. Stay tuned for more info! If you reach the fundraising minimum of $50 after March 19, you will have the option to have the shirt mailed to you after the event
