The Virtual Walk for Animals is one of San Diego Humane Society’s biggest annual fundraisers. The funds raised during this event help us care for nearly 50,000 animals each year!
Traditionally held at Kit Carson Park in Escondido and Liberty Station in San Diego, our annual Walk for Animals is combined into a single virtual event this year. Registration is free and will unlock custom resources to help you fundraise to support San Diego Humane Society’s life-changing work for animals and the people who love them. You’ll have access to:
Every dollar you raise will make a lifesaving difference for animals in need — and when you raise or donate $50 or more, you’ll also receive our 2021 custom Virtual Walk for Animals T-shirt!
In addition to fundraising and engaging with special online content, during Walk Week (April 11-17) you are invited to walk in your own way (with safety and social distancing in mind) — around the block, around the living room, in the backyard, on a patio or even on the treadmill.
When you become a sponsor of the Virtual Walk for Animals, you're joining a community that is committed to creating a more humane San Diego for animals and the people who love them.
Every sponsorship dollar makes a lifesaving difference for nearly 50,000 pets and wildlife in need each year. To learn more about ways your business can make an impact for animals in need, view our Sponsorship Opportunities packet, visit our Sponsor the Walk page, or contact Bobbie Barnes at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 619-243-6147.
Be sure to check out our Virtual Vendor Village and support our animal loving partners!
This event has been rerouted to the comfort of your home and neighborhood from our traditional locations at Kit Carson Park in Escondido and NTC Park at Liberty Station. Show your support by walking in your own way — around the block (with safety and social distancing in mind), around your living room, in your backyard, on your patio or even on the treadmill. Creativity is encouraged!
Registration is open now — and it’s free! Sign up today to unlock your personal fundraising tools and start raising support for animals in need. You’ll also have access to Walk Week’s (April 11-17) engaging online content, including behind-the-scenes tours, fundraising contests, social media surprises, pancake making and more!
In addition to fundraising and engaging with online content, during Walk Week you are invited to walk in your own way (with safety and social distancing in mind) — around the block, around the living room, in the backyard, on a patio or even on the treadmill.
Check in daily from April 11-17 on our Walk for Animals Facebook page for virtual versions of your favorite Walk traditions, as well as some fun surprises — including themed days, adorable adoptable animals, a warmup to get you ready to walk in your own way, a pupcake recipe tutorial and more! Be sure you’re following the page so you don’t miss a moment of the fun.

Because the Virtual Walk for Animals is online this year, we do not have a current need for volunteers. The best way you can support the Walk is by registering and fundraising for the animals!
