The Walk for Animals - San Diego is on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Join us for a Facebook live at 9:00 a.m. and then show your support by walking at a location of your choice: around the block (keeping safety and social distancing in mind), in your living room, or even on the treadmill! Don't forget to take a photo or video and then tag us on social media using the hashtag #sdwalkforanimals.
Yes! If you registered when the original fees were in effect, it will count toward your fundraising total. It also counts towards earning prizes!
Just because you can’t join us for the Walk for Animals in person doesn’t mean you can’t join us virtually! We invite you to shop, adopt and learn more about SDHS by visiting our Virtual Vendor Village. Your support of our animal loving partners means so much!
Of course! We highly encourage you to walk with your pets — around the block, around your yard, or even around your living room!

Team members qualify for individual fundraising prizes based on their individual fundraising achievements. Team members are encouraged to register and raise money on their own.
Prizes are redeemed individually by email after the event. Once a prize is selected for each fundraising level achieved, each walker will receive their well-earned prizes by mail within 2-3 weeks. Walkers are reminded to provide a valid email address when registering for the Walk in order to claim their prizes.
If a team raises money together by holding a team event (such as a bake sale), a San Diego Humane Society staff member can apply the proceeds to the team's fundraising total OR proceeds can be applied to each of the team member's individual fundraising totals. After the Walk, participants will receive an email with a link to choose and claim their prizes and T-shirts. The Walk course is normally around 2 miles long but now the length of the Walk is now up to you! Feel free to walk a few feet or a few miles with your furry friend.
