I'm so excited to be participating in San Diego Humane Society's Walk for Animals - North County! On Saturday, Feb. 22, I'll join thousands of animal lovers and their furry friends to help create a more humane San Diego.
All proceeds from this event stay here in Oceanside, Escondido, and San Diego - not sent to some huge corporate "charity" somewhere back East.
Your generosity will make a life-changing difference for animals and neighbors in North County. With your support:
- Tens of thousands of homeless pets will be adopted into loving homes.
- Horses, pigs, goats and chickens will have a safe haven at the Escondido Campus.
- Thousands of orphaned kittens will be given a second chance at life in our 24-hour Kitten Nursery.
- PAWS San Diego will provide safety-net services for more than 5,700 pet families, including more than 1.7 million pet meals.
- Humane law enforcement officers will respond to more than 25,000 animals in need.
- San Diego Humane Society will be the first line of defense for animals in emergency situations, such as wildfires.
- Project Wildlife will care for more than 12,000 injured or orphaned wild animals.
