Welcome to my personal online giving page. Thank you for making a gift to the San Diego Humane Society in support of my upcoming triathlon.

As many of you know, I have been involved in triathlons for a couple of years now and what started as a fun way to keep active has turned into an obsession. Working my way up from Olympic and Half Ironman distance events has led me to compete in my first full-length, 140.6 mile race. I have been training since January for the "Vineman" Ironman race in Northern California on July 30th. This consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, and ends with a full 26.2 mile marathon. This will surely test everything I have been working to enhance since my very first training session years ago-both physically and mentally. Oh what fun!

Through this endeavor, I also hope to raise awareness and money for the thousands of animals in need. Please support me by making a small gift for the animals at San Diego Humane Society. Your donation will help provide food, medical care and a safe haven for thousands of animals in need.

This year, San Diego Humane Society will save the lives of more than 20,000 animals.

More than 10,000 homeless animals will find new homes.
Our foster program will provide a second chance to more than 2,000 sick, injured, or underage animals.
More than 16,000 animals will be examined in our veterinary medical centers.
Humane Law Enforcement officers will help nearly 10,000 animals.
Project Wildlife will care for nearly 10,000 injured or orphaned wildlife.
Our surgeons will perform more than 6,000 reduced cost spay/neuter operations on community animals.
Our 24-hour-kitten nursery will give safe haven to nearly 2,000 orphaned or newborn community kittens.

Please make a tax-deductible gift to support my efforts. In the spirit of this endurance challenge, I encourage you to give a "per-mile" amount, whether it's $0.10 per mile, $.50 pr mile or even $1 per mile. This way I have an added incentive to finish the race on behalf of something larger than myself. PLEASE NOTE: There is not an option to have the "per mile" amount calculated on this page so here is a handy cheat sheet for donation amounts:

$1 per mile = $140.60 gift

$0.50 per mile = $70.30 gift

$0.25 per mile = $35.15 gift

$0.10 per mile = $14.06 gift

Less than 5 weeks to go!
Tomorrow marks the official 30 day countdown to the race. This will be my biggest training week so far. I'm not gonna lie, the workouts are brutal, especially after a long day of work. But next week I start the "taper" process. It's hard to believe the race is just a month away.
