San Diego Humane Society is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion, providing hope and advancing the welfare of animals and the people who love them. With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. As an open-admissions shelter, we never turn an animal in need away. Not only do we care for more than 40,000 animals annually, but we also provide pet families in our community with tools and resources to keep their animals healthy, happy and by their side. While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
When you join the Walk for Animals, you're part of a community dedicated to creating a more humane San Diego for pets, wildlife and people. This is the best walk you'll take all year! You'll connect with other animal lovers and enjoy festivities including a pancake breakfast, dog activities, pet-friendly vendors and more — all while making a life-changing difference for animals in need. Saving thousands of animals this year is possible with your help. Sign up today to walk and fundraise on behalf of the animals!
By participating in the Walk for Animals, you make it possible for San Diego Humane Society to give more than 40,000 pets and wild animals a second chance each year. Every dollar raised through the Walk for Animals is immediately put to good use by helping San Diego Humane Society shelter homeless pets, investigate animal cruelty, care for orphaned kittens, provide lifesaving veterinary care, rehabilitate native wildlife, keep pets in their homes and out of shelters, respond to natural disasters and so much more.
