Clicker Training for Cats: Basic Grooming and Vet Care

Grooming your cat and trips to the vet are two things that many cat parents dread. If you end up wrestling your cat into a carrier, or perhaps have sustained wounds from trips to the vet, this class is for you! Jaime Clifton with The Kindred Cat will help you shift your mindset by showing you how easy and fun it can be to work WITH your cats (instead of against them) on various cat care needs. This webinar is geared toward guardians who already practice basic clicker training (you can check out Jaime's last recorded PET Talk for an intro to clicker training). We will discuss the concept of "cooperative care," which is all about letting your cat participate calmly and willingly during grooming and vet care. In this class, you will learn how to get your cat excited about nail trims, getting into a carrier, scale weigh-ins, and more! Jaime is a certified cat behavior consultant and trainer who is passionate about creating positive communication between cats and their guardians.

If you'd like, please watch the Clicker Training for Cats PET Talk beforehand to learn about basic clicker training.

This talk takes place live on Zoom! You will receive the link in your confirmation.
