ScottSD.JPGSan Diego Natural History Museum Mammalogist, Scott Tremor, has dedicated his life to observing and documenting fauna in Southern California and the Baja California Peninsula in an effort to bring further awareness to the distribution of species in the region. Tremor is now one of the most widely known mammal experts in the region. He’s often called upon by government agencies and land owners for help with monitoring rare and endangered mammals, and he will be telling us all he knows at this month's Wake Up with Wildlife!

Tremor reached a major milestone in his career with the publication of a book that serves as the definitive guide to the mammals of San Diego County, the San Diego County Mammal Atlas. More than a decade in the making, the project began when Tremor was a mammal keeper at the San Diego Zoo, and with help from several co-authors and a collaboration of more than 40 biologists, it came to fruition in 2017. With the publication of this book, San Diego County is now biologically one of the best-documented areas in the United States.

There is a $5 fee for this program. If you're a San Diego Humane Society staff member or volunteer, please email cpadilla@sdhumane.org before registering. ZOOM information will be sent to you the week of.
