Shelters in San Diego and across the country are overflowing with animals in need of a second chance. You can be a hero by opening your home to a deserving shelter pet, and there’s never been a better time to adopt!

Saturday, Sept. 7, we’re waiving adoption fees for ALL of our adoptable animals — yes, every single one! This special one-day adoption event is part of NBC Universal and Telemundo’s Clear the Shelters promotion.

There’s never been a more important time for our community to come together for animals in need. When you adopt a new family member, you’ll also help another animal with nowhere else to turn by creating more space in the shelter.

With more than 765 pets (yes, 765 pets!) currently available for adoption at San Diego Humane Society alone, we’re sure you’ll find the perfect match!

Visit our shelters in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside and San Diego from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. this Saturday to adopt. If you can’t make it this weekend, you can still take advantage of adoption fees at 50% off through Sept. 10!
